Olds College

Following a comprehensive site audit and wayfinding strategy, a new signage standard was developed for Olds College that reflects a balance between technology and the natural world—key influences of the new Werklund Agriculture and Technology Centre. The project supported major renovations to the Animal Health Education Centre, now complete. The design is informed by a juxtaposition of materials and fluid forms, drawing inspiration from the wood beam columns, the contrast of light and dark materials, and the integration of brand colours to create a cohesive balance of elements. This signage standard establishes a foundation that will act as a catalyst for addressing future branding and signage needs across the broader campus.

With the Ag Tech Hub project complete, a new phase is underway to apply and evolve the signage standard for the Trades Building, alongside updates to the Metals Building, ensuring a consistent and adaptable approach to wayfinding and identity across the growing campus.
